15+ years in love with nature and mountains the only reason of loving Islamabad too. Since past one month I have been Visiting hiking tracks around to discover mysteries of centuries old passages, variety of flora and fauna and enrich the soul along the way by saying gratitude to the Super Creator who bestowed such a beauty. Spent 2 and half hours today in the lap of hills hovering around track 5. Some of glimpses to share:
In the start you can find a relic and living legend: 400-years old Barged Tree known as “Place of Mediation” of the famous saint Bari Imam 250 years ago and made this place valuable since then.
Although Mountain Festival is being observed by WWF, UNDP and local NGO but no sign for mass level awareness of clean environment, a very philosophical writing on the tree wall :
“Make your thinking and environment: pollution free”.
A good combination of words and reminder to all of those in public or private life.
There was also a funny Project Name : “Ganday Bachay Project” means a project by dirty kids to realise importance of cleanliness
Also a statement poked me ” Jobs fill your pockets but adventures fills your soul” inspired me.
A natural spring emanating from hills also a mystery and attraction,
The steep heights make it very dangerous for kids and elderly people, I found a kid estranged from his cousin and crying for help to come out of woods, which was rescued by my fellow trekkers.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by MNCs. Food Chain and Malls need to established to woo people on the importance of nature and beauty. Mont Blanc in France-Italy-Switzerland has worlds famous malls on the Alps region on the top.
